I recently came across a wonderful article in The Oatmeal that describes the creative process of creating anything worthwhile.

 

My favorite part was this infographic below.

 

I think it perfectly illustrates the reality that most things in life are seldom a linear process. It's usually messy, complicated, and full of winding roads. Posting this here as a simple reminder to myself to be aware of the difference between expectation and reality, and to embrace the struggle that comes with creating anything great.
